Weddings FAQ

What would best describe our style?

     Classic Portraiture/Photojournalism

For any event, especially a wedding it is extremely important to document every

phase of the day.  I do shoot posed images but I strongly believe in the natural beauty

          of candid images too.

Are you the only Photographer covering the wedding?

Yes, I am the owner and only photographer of Subarashii Photography.  I own and use

professional Canon equipment.  I bring backup cameras, batteries, flashes and use

different lenses throughout the day.  It has never happened but I do have a list of backup

photographers in case an emergency should arise.

When did you shoot your first wedding?

1998, thanks to my friend Jen (the bride) who actually had to talk me into it!  I am glad

     she did!

What is a typical wedding day schedule for you?

     - Photograph the bride getting ready and her posed portraits up to an hour prior to the

ceremony.  If time permits, I will also photograph the bride with her

       bridesmaids/mother/etc.

     - Photograph the ceremony.

     - Photograph posed portraits of the groom, the couple, wedding party, family, etc. (after

       the ceremony).

     - Photograph reception.

How do you calculate the costs of a wedding job?

     Costs include:

          - Hourly fee for shooting

          - Editing fee (up to 15 hours)

          - Creating Album/Products (up to 10 hours)

          - Albums, Prints costs plus shipping

          - Delivery of final products

Do we have to feed you at our wedding?

No, you don't have to but it would be appreciated.  Whether dinner is from you or I bring

my own, I do require a 15-20 minute break to restore my energy to continue shooting the

party!  I also prefer to eat when you and your guests do, that way I won't miss anything.

How do we pick which photos go in our album?

After I have edited you images, you will receive prints in a 4x6" prints of all your images.

At your own pace you will go through these prints and then let me know which images

are to go into the album.  All of the 4x6" prints are yours to keep.
